About Title Openers video templates

Title opener templates introduce a film, a chapter, a session or a series in ten to twelve seconds: an epic landscape card, a documentary chapter, a wedding with two names, a sports highlights reel, a keynote session, a vertical festival poster, a science episode, a family scrapbook page, a fashion editorial spread and a history chapter with a quotation. Each runs over three clips from the story's own world in widescreen, square or vertical, so the title can sit at the front of the video it introduces.

The designs treat the title as the hero. Serif titles zoom in from large with a glow, appear letter by letter or line by line, build word by word or are revealed by an animated mask sweeping across them; condensed lines slam in from opposite sides over a diagonal slab; script names fade up on either side of an ampersand. Around them, rules grow, rings draw themselves, chapter and episode lines type in, counters settle on a year, a page or a games total, chips and lower thirds name the part and the speaker, and a letterbox or an outline frame sets the format.

In the Deus Video editor, rewrite the title, the kicker and the sub-line, rename the people and the places, set every counter and date, recolour the rules, chips and glows to your palette, replace the three clips with your own footage and change the track. Export and cut the opener onto the front of the film, the episode or the post.
