This Privacy Policy explains how Deus.Video collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Deus.Video website, online video editor, dashboard, and related services.

Deus.Video is operated by PE IVANUSHENKO LEONID, registered in Ukraine under registration/tax number 3023202333 ("Deus.Video", "we", "us", or "our").

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Deus.Video services, including:

  • deus.video;
  • app.deus.video;
  • dashboard.deus.video;
  • related Deus.Video APIs, backend services, storage, and processing infrastructure.

It applies to visitors, registered users, and customers of Deus.Video.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked from Deus.Video or integrated with the Service. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only information reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, and improve Deus.Video.

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • your email address;
  • a securely stored hash of your password;
  • your Google account identifier if you choose to sign in using Google;
  • your subscription plan and subscription status;
  • optional profile information that you choose to provide, such as your name or profile image.

Your name, profile image, and similar profile information are not required unless specifically indicated.

We do not store your payment card number, CVV, or other full payment-card credentials.

2.2 User Content

When you use the video editor, you may upload, create, or generate content including:

  • video files;
  • audio files;
  • images;
  • subtitles and captions;
  • text;
  • video projects and project configuration;
  • rendered videos and other exported media.

We refer to this information collectively as "User Content."

User Content may contain personal data about you or other individuals depending on what you upload.

You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process User Content through Deus.Video.

2.3 Information Processed When Using Specific Features

Certain features require additional processing of User Content.

Automatic subtitles. When you request automatic subtitles, relevant audio content is processed using Amazon Transcribe to convert speech to text.

Text-to-speech. When you use text-to-speech functionality, the text you provide is processed using Amazon Polly to generate audio.

Background removal. When you use background removal, images or video frames are processed using our server-side background-removal technology. This processing is performed on infrastructure controlled by Deus.Video and does not require sending the media to a separate third-party background-removal provider.

These features are activated only when you choose to use them.

Deus.Video does not currently provide general-purpose AI image generation, AI video generation, face swapping, voice cloning, avatar generation, or similar generative-AI functionality unless expressly identified in the Service.

We do not use User Content to train our own artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Where supported by third-party AI service providers, we seek to configure available controls to prevent User Content from being used for general service or model improvement.

2.4 Communications

If you contact us, we may collect information contained in your communication, including:

  • your email address;
  • your name, if provided;
  • the content of your message;
  • files or other information you choose to send us.

2.5 Technical and Analytics Information

We use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use Deus.Video and to improve the Service.

Depending on your consent choices, analytics information may include:

  • pages visited;
  • interactions with features;
  • session information;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system information;
  • approximate geographic information;
  • referral information;
  • analytics identifiers.

We do not intentionally store your IP address as part of your Deus.Video account or user profile.

However, IP addresses and other technical information may necessarily be processed temporarily by internet infrastructure, hosting providers, security systems, and analytics services when network requests are made.

For users in regions where consent is required for analytics technologies, Google Analytics is intended to operate only after the required consent has been obtained.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We may use personal data to:

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • authenticate users;
  • provide the Deus.Video editor and related features;
  • store and retrieve User Content;
  • render and export videos;
  • provide automatic subtitles and text-to-speech functionality;
  • process background removal and other requested media operations;
  • maintain user subscriptions;
  • send password-reset emails;
  • notify users when requested video rendering has completed;
  • provide customer support;
  • maintain the security and integrity of the Service;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • prevent misuse, abuse, or fraud;
  • understand how the Service is used;
  • improve usability, performance, and features;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal data.

We do not share personal data with third parties for their own advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

We do not use User Content for advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases.

Performance of a Contract

We process information when necessary to provide the Service you request, including:

  • creating and managing your account;
  • storing User Content;
  • editing and rendering media;
  • providing requested processing features;
  • managing subscriptions.

Consent

We rely on consent where required, particularly for non-essential analytics cookies and similar technologies.

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

Legitimate Interests

We may process limited information when necessary for legitimate interests such as:

  • securing the Service;
  • preventing abuse and fraud;
  • diagnosing technical problems;
  • maintaining service reliability;
  • improving the Service.

We consider the impact on users' privacy before relying on legitimate interests.

Legal Obligations

We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with applicable law or lawful requests from competent authorities.

5. User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content.

Uploading User Content to Deus.Video does not transfer ownership of that content to Deus.Video.

We process User Content only as necessary to:

  • provide the features requested by you;
  • store your content;
  • create or modify projects;
  • render output files;
  • perform processing operations initiated by you;
  • maintain and secure the Service.

We do not sell User Content.

We do not use User Content for advertising.

We do not use User Content to train AI or machine-learning models operated by Deus.Video.

Some requested functions may require User Content to be processed by service providers described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Storage and Deletion of User Content

Uploaded media, project media, and rendered output files are stored until you delete them.

When you delete media through Deus.Video, the file is deleted from active storage without an intentional retention period.

Deus.Video does not maintain backup copies of deleted User Content.

If you delete an entire project, media associated exclusively with that project may also be deleted where applicable.

You should download any files that you wish to retain before deleting them.

7. Account Data Retention

We generally retain account information for as long as your account remains active.

If your account is deleted, we delete personal account information that is no longer necessary to provide the Service.

Certain limited information may be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • prevent fraud or abuse;
  • enforce agreements;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Such information is retained only for as long as necessary for the applicable purpose.

Until self-service account deletion is available, you may request deletion of your account by contacting deus.video.editor@gmail.com.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Deus.Video may use cookies and similar technologies.

Some cookies or local-storage technologies may be necessary for functionality such as:

  • authentication;
  • maintaining a user session;
  • security;
  • storing essential preferences.

These technologies may be used without consent where permitted by applicable law because they are necessary to provide the Service requested by the user.

We also use:

  • Google Tag Manager to manage website tags;
  • Google Analytics to measure usage of the Service.

Analytics technologies are considered non-essential.

Where applicable law requires consent, we request consent before enabling analytics storage or similar non-essential tracking technologies.

Users may refuse or withdraw analytics consent without losing access to the core functionality of Deus.Video.

Google may process technical and usage information according to Google's applicable privacy terms and data-processing terms.

9. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using your Google account, Google authenticates your identity and provides Deus.Video with limited account information necessary to create or access your Deus.Video account.

Depending on the permissions presented during sign-in, this may include a Google account identifier, email address, name, or profile image.

Deus.Video does not receive your Google password.

Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's own privacy terms.

10. Stock Media Services

Deus.Video may provide access to third-party stock media libraries within the editor.

When you use stock-media search, search requests are sent through the Deus.Video backend and may then be submitted to the applicable stock-media provider.

The provider may therefore process the search terms required to return results.

We do not intentionally provide stock-media providers with your Deus.Video password or User Content merely because you perform a stock-media search.

Content obtained through third-party stock-media providers remains subject to the applicable provider's terms, licenses, and privacy practices.

11. Service Providers

We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate Deus.Video.

These providers may process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide their respective services.

GMHost

Our primary backend infrastructure and database are hosted on a dedicated server provided by GMHost in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine.

This infrastructure is used to operate the Deus.Video API, application services, database, and server-side media-processing functionality.

Amazon Web Services

We use Amazon Web Services ("AWS") for several parts of the Service, including:

  • Amazon S3 — storage of media files and rendered content;
  • AWS Amplify — website hosting and delivery;
  • Amazon Transcribe — automatic speech-to-text transcription;
  • Amazon Polly — text-to-speech generation;
  • Amazon SES — transactional email delivery.

AWS may process data required to provide these services according to its applicable terms and privacy documentation.

Google

We use Google services including:

  • Google Sign-In;
  • Google Tag Manager;
  • Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is used subject to applicable consent requirements.

Payment Provider

Paid subscriptions are processed through a third-party payment provider.

Where PayPro Global is used, PayPro Global acts as a payment and commerce provider and processes information necessary to complete a purchase.

Payment details such as full card numbers and CVV codes are entered directly into the payment provider's checkout environment.

Deus.Video does not receive or store full payment-card credentials.

We may receive limited information necessary to determine whether a subscription has been successfully purchased, renewed, cancelled, or otherwise changed.

Your payment transaction is also subject to the payment provider's own terms and privacy policy.

12. Email Communications

We use Amazon Simple Email Service ("Amazon SES") to send transactional emails.

Currently, these emails may include:

  • password-reset messages requested by you;
  • notifications containing a link to a completed video render.

We do not currently use your account email address to send general marketing newsletters unless you separately request or consent to such communications.

13. International Processing of Data

Deus.Video operates from Ukraine and uses service providers that may operate infrastructure in multiple countries.

As a result, personal data may be processed in Ukraine, countries within the European Economic Area, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our service providers maintain infrastructure.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal data, we rely on appropriate mechanisms provided under applicable data-protection law, which may include contractual safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized mechanisms.

The privacy and data-protection laws of countries where information is processed may differ from those in your country.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data and User Content against:

  • unauthorized access;
  • unauthorized disclosure;
  • alteration;
  • loss;
  • misuse;
  • destruction.

Such measures may include access controls, encrypted network communications, authentication mechanisms, infrastructure isolation, and restricted access to production systems.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

15. Sharing of Personal Data

We do not sell personal data.

We do not rent personal data.

We do not share personal data with advertisers for their independent marketing purposes.

We may disclose limited personal data:

  • to service providers necessary to operate Deus.Video;
  • when you explicitly request a feature requiring third-party processing;
  • where required by applicable law or a valid legal process;
  • where necessary to protect the rights, security, or integrity of Deus.Video, its users, or others;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of substantially all relevant business assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Service providers are expected to process information only for permitted purposes and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data.

These may include the right to:

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of certain processing;

Deus.Video does not sell personal data and does not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Nothing in this section is intended to state that a particular privacy statute applies to Deus.Video where its statutory applicability requirements are not met.

19. Children's Privacy

Deus.Video is not intended for children under the age of 16.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use Deus.Video.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

If you believe that a child under 16 has provided personal data to Deus.Video, please contact us at deus.video.editor@gmail.com.

If we determine that such information has been collected contrary to this Policy, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

20. Third-Party Links and Services

Deus.Video may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes to Deus.Video;
